If you have ever been to a wedding… a naming ceremony… or just Sunday fellowship after service…
then you already know the moment I am about to describe.
You are smiling. Plate in hand. Enjoying yourself.
Then someone leans in, with that look, and says it:
“So… when is yours?”
And you smile back. Because what else can you do?
“If I knew, I would tell you.”
Later that night, when the house is quiet, you pick up your phone.
You type things you would never say out loud. “Signs he is serious.” “Why am I still waiting.”
Yes, Get The Red Flag Blueprint NowInstant access by email from SelarHere is the part nobody says out loud… you are scared of two things at once.
You are scared that if you wait, you will be alone.
And you are just as scared that if you rush, you will end up in a marriage that costs you your peace.
“What if I choose wrong just to make the questions stop?”
Maybe you have already lived a version of it.
Months of “good morning” texts with no plans. A man who was “not ready”… but somehow ready for everything else in his life.
Maybe you stayed far too long, because you had already given him two years.
Maybe someone introduced you to “a good man”… chosen because he was convenient, not because he was right.
And through all of it, you kept asking yourself “What is wrong with me?”
Nothing is wrong with you.
What I have learned is that most women do not lose years because they are careless. They lose years because they are under pressure… and pressure makes almost any attention feel like an answer.
So take five minutes. Drop what you are doing, and read every word.
There is an old idea in many of our homes: watch what a person does over time, not what he says.
Words are cheap in the first month. A man can say anything. But it is very hard to fake consistency, respect and honesty for three weeks.
That one idea is the heart of everything I am about to show you.
Hi, my name is Cynthia.
First thing you should know about me: I am NOT a counsellor, a psychologist or a therapist. I am a wife, and I work in my church.
What I am is the person women have been bringing their relationship struggles to, for years.
Women in my church, my family and my community come to me for advice about relationships. Usually it begins with something small.
And very often, underneath it, is the same thing.
Pressure.
Pressure from family. Pressure from church. Pressure from the wedding invitations that keep arriving. Pressure from a clock that somebody else set.
I watched what that pressure does. I watched women who are intelligent, hardworking and kind… slowly become desperate. And desperate women say yes to things they would never say yes to on a calm day.
Some stayed with men who gave them nothing but hope. Some rushed into something because the questions had become too loud. Some were so afraid of speaking about it that they carried all of it alone.
And the advice they received was always the same two sentences:
“Just keep praying.”
“Don’t be too picky.”
Now… I believe in prayer. I believe in it deeply. But I also believe scripture praises wisdom and discernment, and nobody was giving these women a practical way to use it.
And “don’t be too picky” is dangerous advice. Having standards is not being picky. Having no standards is how years get lost.
When I asked what they had tried, the answers were almost always the same:
None of these is wrong. They just leave something out.
They never teach you how to tell, in the first few weeks, whether a man is serious.
This is the part that surprised many women the most. It is almost never about intelligence. It is usually one of these five patterns:
1. The scarcity story. “Good men are finished, so I must take what comes.” When you believe this, ordinary behaviour starts to look like a prize.
2. Sunk cost. “I have given him two years, so I cannot leave now.” But time already spent is gone. The only real question is whether the next two years are worth it.
3. Hope as a strategy. He says “I am not ready” or “let’s see”… and she waits for him to change. Hope is not evidence.
4. On-off attention. Warm one week, cold the next. That uncertainty feels like chemistry, but it is often just inconsistency. Psychologists call it intermittent reinforcement, the same thing that keeps people pulling a slot-machine lever.
5. Performing for an audience. Choosing a man because the family will approve, not because he is safe, honest and committed.
And there are myths that keep us stuck, like “After 35, I cannot afford to be picky.” The truth? You cannot afford to be careless. Or “Prayer means I should not screen him.” Prayer and wisdom work together.
When you can name the pattern, you can stop repeating it. That is exactly what Days 1 to 5 of the guide help you do.
So I put together a simple system, built around one principle: judge a man by what he does, repeatedly, over time.
It has three weeks. Three jobs.
Week 1: OBSERVE. You do not interview him. You do not audition for him. You simply watch: Is he consistent? Is he respectful? Do his stories add up? And just as important… how do you feel around him? Calm and respected, or anxious and guessing?
Week 2: TEST. You gently check that his words match his actions. Does he show up when he says he will? Does he stay respectful when you disagree? What happens when you say “no”? Is he open about his life, his plans and his responsibilities?
Week 3: DECIDE. You use a simple scorecard, a star-rated flag guide and a “Should I Say Yes?” checklist to look at the facts, not the pressure.
That is it. No secret. No magic. Just structure… so that fear stops making the decisions.
I should be honest with you, because I will always be honest with you: this guide cannot promise you a husband, and it cannot promise a timeline. Nobody honest can.
What it can do is help you stop losing years to the wrong man, answer the family questions with calm, and make choices you will not regret.
I found myself giving the same advice again and again. So I put all of it in one place: the full system, the questions to ask, the flags to watch, the scripts for family pressure, the exact steps for each of the 21 days… and what to do when it is time to walk away.
A short reading each day. One small action. About 15 to 30 minutes. On your phone. Completely private.
Introducing…
The Red Flag Blueprint
How to Identify a Serious Man vs a Time-Waster in the First 3 Weeks
And the best part? You do not need to download a dating app, or hire a matchmaker, or explain yourself to anyone. It is private, faith-friendly, and made for how we actually live.
Here are 3 of the 6 questions from Day 1. Think of the last man you gave serious time to, and answer Yes or No:
If you answered Yes to even one, that is not a flaw in you. It is pressure, and pressure can be managed. The full check, with scoring, is on page 7.
This guide is for you if…
This guide is NOT for you if…
Think about what one wrong year costs. The money. The energy. The heartbreak. The time you do not get back.
